Rural Physicians Group Management Company, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Company” or “We”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this privacy policy (this “Policy”).

This Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the Company’s website at ruralphysiciansgroup.com (including the services that we provide on this website, our “Website”) and describes our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

This Policy applies to information that we collect:

  • On our Website, including our physicians’ portal; and
  • In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and our Website.

It does not apply to information collected by:

  • us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by any third party;
  • us through other websites of ours; or
  • any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from the Website or through your use of the Website, including the third party (Drift.com, Inc.) that provides our “Rural Physicians Bot” on our Website.

If you are a physician, healthcare provider, or independent contractor who works with us or an entity from which we receive or to which we transmit protected health information, our privacy policies (except with respect to your use of the Website) are governed by any separate agreement or agreements that we may have with you. Your use of the physicians’ portal portion of the Website is governed by this Policy.

Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and the information that you provide us through the use of the Website and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use our Website. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to this Policy and you consent to the collection, transfer, processing, storage, disclosure and other uses of your Personal Information as described in this Policy. Personal Information is defined below in the Section that has the title “Information We Collect and How We Collect It.” This Policy may change from time to time. For information about our policies regarding changes to the Policy, please see the Section that has the title “Changes to our Privacy Policy” below. Your continued use of this Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Policy periodically for updates.

Children Under the Age of 18

Our Website is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to the Website. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use this Website or provide any information on or through it. If we learn that we have collected or received Personal Information, we will delete that information. Personal Information is not collected by us via cookies and other tracking technologies. If you have previously provided Personal Information to us, however, cookies may be tied to such information.

Other Tracking Technologies

We advertise on Facebook and Google. Google and Facebook use tracking technologies to collect information when you click on our ads. We do not receive any Personal Information from them that would allow us to identify a specific user of our Website.

We sometimes provide a list of email addresses for those that have purchased a particular course to Facebook. If Facebook can identify from such list that such individuals also have Facebook accounts, then Facebook will use information from such individuals to target Facebook ads that we purchase to others who possess similar characteristics as those on the list. Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how our customers interact with our Website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on its servers in the United States or around the world. Google will use this information for analyzing your use of our website, generating reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

  • If you are a physician and log in to our physicians’ portal, to provide you with information about our hospitals, policies, locations, and other information about our hospitals and services.

  • For any other purpose with your consent.

How We Store Your Information 

We use industry standard measures to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of your information once it is in our care. Our hosting provider has access to the servers that host our Website and has access to the servers on which your data is stored.

Disclosure and Sharing of Your Information and Information that You Provide

All Personal Information remains private with us and is not distributed, rented, shared or sold to any outside organizations without your consent except as described in this Policy. We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual, without restriction.

We may disclose or share information, including Personal Information, that we collect or you provide as described in this Policy:

  • To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep Personal Information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You have rights to your Personal Information, and you can request to delete or transfer your Personal Information. You can review and change your some of your Personal Information by emailing jtrudell@ruralphysiciansgroup.com.

If you provide us permission to use or disclose Personal Information about you, you may revoke that permission, in writing, at any time. If you revoke your permission, we will no longer use or disclose your Personal Information for the reasons covered by your written authorization. You understand that we are unable to take back any disclosures we have already made with your permission, and that we may by law be required to retain certain records that may include Personal Information that you have provided to us.

We may not accommodate a request to change or delete information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Withdrawing Consent

We may not accommodate a request, for instance for deletion of Personal Information, if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

Data Retention

We will retain your Personal Information as long as we consider you to be an active or prospective user of our Website. Unless you request to delete your Personal Information, we will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you services, and to communicate with you about our services and opportunities. Third Party Services

We may share certain information, including Personal Information, that we collect about you with our service providers who perform functions on our behalf. These service providers may collect information based upon your use of our Website. Examples include providing chat services and customer service. These service providers are not expressly authorized by us to use or disclose Personal Information except as needed to perform their functions or comply with legal requirements, and they may not use it for any other purpose except as permitted by their privacy policies.

Our service providers include:

  • com. Inc. (Privacy Policy). We use Drift for providing real-time one-on-one conversations and chatbots.
  • Facebook, Inc. (Privacy Policy). We use Facebook for advertising.
  • Google, Inc. (Privacy Policy). We use Google for analytics and advertising.

We have contracts with these third party service providers, and they are subject to the legal requirements of the jurisdictions in which they operate.

Please note that the links to our third party service providers’ privacy policies and the information contained within them may change from time to time, and the links provided above may not be current. If the links provided do not allow you to access the privacy policies, please notify us by contacting us at jtrudell@ruralphysiciansgroup.com.

We do not sell any contact or analytics data to any third party.

We will protect your information as described in this Policy if your Personal Information is transferred to these third parties and by us to other countries, but we do not control these third parties, including their tracking technologies and their use of the data that you provide to them directly or through or by means of the Website. We have provided links to these third party service providers’ privacy policies. While we will respond to any requests about your Personal Information in accordance with this Policy, please note that we may not be able to have these third parties fulfill requests with respect to your Personal Information. For instance, if you ask us to delete your Personal Information, we will delete the Personal Information that we possess about you in accordance with this Policy, but our third party service providers may have separate data retention policies. For instance, our hosting provider may have backup tapes of your Personal Information that it retains for some period of time, and your information may also be retained by Drift, Google and Facebook in accordance with their privacy policies.

By using our Website, you consent to your Personal Information being transferred to and from these third parties and processed and stored by them, and having them transfer your data to other countries, including countries that have different data protection rules than your country. We do not represent that our Website, the services provided on it, or these third party services are appropriate or available in any particular jurisdiction.

Your California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of certain forms of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not respond to these signals because there is not yet a common understanding of how to process these signals or a consensus on what “tracking” means.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your Personal Information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We implement the services of a third party hosting company to provide backup services.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you the ability to choose a password for access to certain parts of our Website or to obtain certain services available through the Website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted to our Website or in connection with the services offered on the Website. Any transmission of Personal Information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Website.
